This Privacy Policy explains how Metarlog (“the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile information those providers share with us (such as your name and email address). This is used solely to identify your account and sync your preferences.
With your permission, the app accesses your device location to center the map on your current position and help you find nearby airports and navigation points. Location data is used only within the app and is not shared with third parties beyond the mapping service required to render the map.
If you subscribe to Metarlog Premium, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We only receive confirmation of your subscription status (active/inactive) to unlock premium features — we do not receive or store your payment details.
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to understand general app usage patterns and to diagnose crashes. This data is associated with an anonymous installation identifier, not your name or email.
Free-tier users are shown ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to deliver and measure ads. We do not use any tracking technology that follows you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not request tracking permission for cross-app advertising.
On startup, the app performs a basic, local check for whether the device is jailbroken or in developer mode. This check does not transmit any personal data; it is used only to protect the integrity of the app.
We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Metarlog displays aviation weather and airport data sourced from third-party providers (aviation weather services, airport data services, and a map tile provider) and uses the following third-party services to operate:
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it processes data on our behalf.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated preferences from our systems.
Metarlog is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
